Let me introduce you to my fellow dreamers. This is Derek & Hannah Logsdon. They are lovers of nature, adventure, spontaneity, discounted groceries at Aldi, a good band, and their baby, Maple (by baby I mean the kind covered in fur). We’ve been friends for years now, but every conversation shared with them feels timeless and intriguing. Only my husband and God understand quite the magnitude of my thankfulness for them as they are always present, faithful, and endearing friends. We all need atleast one person in our life who isn’t afraid to have the vulnerable conversation and ask the hard questions. I’m overjoyed that person for me just happens to be married to that person for my Ben.

Derek and Hannah share a mutual interest of all things nature and mountains so we took a drive to the nearest state with as close to mountains as we’ll find in the south. Hello Lawton, Oklahoma! Derek shared that the Wichita Mountains came out of nowhere in Oklahoma and he wasn’t lying. After two hours of driving in flat terrain, the Wichita Mountains appear suddenly and boldly. Lucky for me, Hannah also has a gift of photography so it was the sweetest day of challenges (nay to harsh lighting and tornado-like winds) as we shot family portraits for each other.
