Lauren & Ian | Rain is all the Rage

Lauren & Ian Bowman

We’ve been camped out at The Rosemary Barn for what seems like all of October & November, but this was our first rainy wedding day we’ve had in quite a bit of time. The rain definitely made it a bit trickier for photography & videography, but it didn’t stop them from raging on their day. They “soaked up” every moment of their day (see what I did there?) and it was a party. For their blog post, I wanted to choose a few favorite moments and details that sometimes go unnoticed on wedding days. Come along with me and enjoy a peek into their wedding day with a little commentary along the way!

Lauren & Ian had personalized keychains and notes on each place setting.

Nothing shouts, “You’re welcome here!” like a personal note from the bride & groom.

I love the classic hanging dress shot, but Lauren is a party so here dress picture needed the same vibe.

It’s the rain on the windows for me.

The invite needed its own kind of moment.

This polaroid was taken at Ian & Lauren’s rehearsal dinner & it’s my favorite detail from their day.

Ian and his groomsmen wore stetsons and my country heart loved it.

Sometimes I unintentionally make my brides cry by asking them questions to soak up each moment of their day. This was one of those beautiful moments.

Their first look was so still, sweet, misty, and wonderful.

The hat. The couple. The day.

Rain couldn’t even spoil it.
