First Look // Joel & Mallory Wedding

First Looks: Are you a fan? I’ve really come to love them, not only as a photographer but also as a romantic. Ben & I are pretty traditional so we opted for our first time seeing each other being the walk down the aisle, but I’ve loved experiencing the new tradition of a first look. If you’re not particular to older tradition, first looks are an opportunity for nerves to be quieted, intimate words to be spoken, and for the bride & groom to have a subtle moment before saying “I do”. As a photographer, I facilitate where the bride & groom stands and then they have full freedom to take the reign on their gentle moment. They are able to truly soak in their surroundings together as a couple. They are able to touch, to smell, to see, and to soak in each other for the first time as man & wife. What a joy to have that moment be so intentional and tender!

Would you ever consider a first look? Take a look at Mallory & Joel’s first look and your opinion may be swayed.
